Building in Findlay Creek
Built for Findlay Creek backyards.
Most Findlay Creek homes are relatively new, so many backyards are still waiting for their first deck. Starting from scratch means we can design it around how you actually want to use the space.
We plan the size, stairs and layout with you, take care of drawings and the permit, and build on footings set below the frost line from day one.

Findlay Creek FAQ
Findlay Creek deck questions
Call or text 613-806-4000 and we'll answer anything else.
What size deck should I build?
Plan around furniture: a dining table for six needs about 12 × 12 ft, and adding a lounge area usually means 300 sq ft or more. We sketch options with you during the free consultation.
Do I need a permit for a deck in Findlay Creek?
Findlay Creek is part of the City of Ottawa, so the same rules apply: decks more than 60 cm (about 2 ft) above the ground generally need a building permit, and so do most covered decks. We prepare the drawings and apply for you.
Can I use the space under a raised deck?
Yes. With a few design choices, like taller posts and under-deck drainage, the space below can become storage or a shaded patio.
