Composite deck with black railing
A grey composite deck wrapped in black aluminum railing, sized for outdoor dining and lounging without ever needing a coat of stain.
The project
Room for dinner and a lounge.
The homeowners wanted a deck big enough for a dining table and a separate lounge area, with no weekends lost to staining.
We framed the deck on frost-proof footings, protected every joist with joist tape and laid grey capped composite with hidden fasteners and a picture-frame border. Black aluminum railing runs around the perimeter to match the window frames.
Wide stairs lead down to the lawn, and the finished deck needs nothing more than a wash in spring and fall.
